Kelly Taylor
March of 2020

creator's notes:
I first wrote this piece back in March of 2020 just a week or so after the stay-at-home order went into effect. In it, I explore some of the mental and emotional challenges of isolation that started to weigh on me in a world where communication depended on computer screens and days of endless computer time burned my eyes and gave me splitting headaches from all the blue light. This pain also encompasses the general strain of exhaustion and helplessness in a situation none of us could control. The piece is written in a very stream of conscious way that fights to make sense of all the space in isolation.
