Dear Reader,

We, the editors of Sapere Aude, are pleased to present our Fall 2022 issue, “Re/Invention.” It has been a long journey, and we hope inspiration emerges for you in the same way — or delightfully un-same way — as it did for us. Fall ‘22 features a wide array of poetry, essays, prose, and art. From a celebration of life (“The Happiest Birthday On Earth”) to a deep-cut analysis of human thought (“Nonsense From a Man of Reason”), our contributors have shown us some of the many ways we revamp, reassess, rewrite, return, revitalize, and of course, Re/Invent.

This semester’s theme is quite literal for our publication. We are so grateful for the opportunity to reinvent ourselves alongside these wonderful pieces. A special “thank you” is in order to Julie Jenner, Kyra Jee, and Ashley Cosgrove for the time and dedication they’ve committed to improving our journal. Your hard work is already evident.

 

We would also like to thank our wonderful readers and contributors. There is no Sapere Aude without the eyes and minds of the Honors program, and the many disciplines and ideas that have been folded in. The editorial staff eagerly awaits the next generation of creators. It is a privilege to curate such talent.
