My short essay relates to the theme, specifically community, because it is a reflection and story of me saying goodbye to a group of people with whom I had spent three months with.They were my community and my family (and still are).

 

It relates to time because it is also a reflection that took time for me to realize. It took me time to realize how important they are to me and it took me some time (not very long in all honesty) to realize how different the front country (an urban environment) is from the backcountry (the outdoors).
